Calcutta Rescue is comprised of a wide range of professionals including doctors, teachers, accountants, paramedics, health educators, pharmacy staff and many other helpers. The Support Groups in Europe sponsor a limited number of western volunteers each year as well as recruit for non sponsored positions.
Volunteers should be able to commit for a period of 9 months minimum, (although in some cases exceptions can be made). We ask that volunteers have excellent organisational and communication skills, but most of all a sense of adventure and need to help those less fortunate.
All applications will be considered on an individual basis in particular if the applicant is in possession of community experience, working abroad experience, or diploma in tropical nursing.
