Calcutta Rescue offers free treatment, nutritional supplements, clothes and hygiene products for patients suffering from illnesses such as tuberculosis and multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, leprosy, diabetes, thalassaemia, malnutrition and trauma.

We also provide education to slum and street children to promote their immediate well-being and improve their future opportunities.

Ex-patients and others can receive training in weaving and handicrafts to improve their skills as well as producing clothing and bandages for patients and school children, also handicrafts sale.

Calcutta Rescue also conducts Targeted Initiative Programmes (TIP) and other outreach programmes in order to promote awareness of health issues amongst rural and urban slum communities of health issues. We provide treatment for scabies, worms, lice infestation and vitamin A deficiency.

Running an organisation like Calcutta Rescue involves enormous running costs of approx £22,000 per month,
as everything we provide is Free of charge. Without the help of private donations it would be impossible to continue.
